From immemorial times, Sylvannia has conceived the elfic race between its inhabitants. The songs of the old bards recited the elfic beauty; they sang on his without equal value and its overwhelming arts. Nevertheless, elves have been absent for a long time , but the human memory is fragile... Sometimes they existed? Or only were fantasies hoarded of a old one to narrate them to their grandsons to the light of the fire?
They are the skeptics who cannot allow themselves to recognize the greater mysteries of the world, although histories are certain. Elves really exist, and hide sad a last one past in Sylvannia.
Long time ago, human and elves coexisted in harmony, sharing their joys and sadnesses. The calm in territories of Sylvannia could be breathed, although for that reason all they did not do it. The greater exception in this sense is the one of the dark wizard Mondain, whose eagerness by its power obsessed to him of such form that their knowledge were very superior to those of the best arcane magicians of the armies of Lord British, King of Sylvannia. So it was its obsession that later the belief in its own superiority as opposed to the rest took to madness, until destroying the Gem of Immortality. This Gem was the one that provided to the elves its immortality to him; they were ventured without fear by the forests, enjoyed under his trusteeship of the wonders of the world, united friendships and gifts interchanged.
Thus, in its obsession by the dominion, Mondain took advantage of the flight the immortality of the elves to exile them and to undo of them, and thus to try to take Sylvannia reigning on the Earth. With its immense one to be able, caused that hundreds of elfic lives were extinguished in opening and closing of eyes, with an sudden brilliance that in this occasion was not for anything enlightening, but torn of the deepest dark.
Nevertheless, the humans consequently acted when being present at the intentions of Mondain, beginning therefore a bloody war by Sylvannia between the armies of Lord British and the demonic minions of Mondain; a war that extended during a long period of time, greater to the one than never was expected.
Finally Mondain it was defeated after being discovered in an invisible magical portal by Rist, captain of the army of Magincia, thanks to its experience and a negligence on the part of Mondain. He and their soldiers did not doubt in extinguishing the portal for always, and with great mental effort finally they sank it under its own fire. From the day of its great victory, one has looked for to him by all place for its gratefulness, but mysteriously and without knowing why one is in unknown whereabouts, reason for which has been considered and adored like a fallen God of skies accomplish a mission to bring peace to Sylvannia in those times, denominating him to it the Illuminator...
